Wow! I noticed that I haven’t written a blog in months! Motherhood really has been keeping me busy, but thankful to photography, yoga and pumping iron (you heard that right, I love weight training!) for keeping things balanced.
You’re probably wondering why I was under the radar for a while. For one, motherhood is a very challenging and rewarding experience for me. Being a mother of two in a city away from family definitely poses so many challenges. However, I am not wavered by it and here I am still taking as much photos as I can. I may have missed many months writing this blog but I tell you, I’m loving the break!
Okay, on to the photos! We recently went to the Skagit Valley Tulips Festival in Mount Vernon, WA that runs from April 1-30. I am very delighted to share with you photos of that visit. I am a big lover of tulips and so this blog post promises plenty…and plenty of tulip photos. And of course, you’ll get to see me and the two kiddies!
As the temperature dips to the 20s, nothing beats having to spend an hour and a half in a hot room filled with energy from other yogis and yoginis. On October 7, 2013, Hot Yoga Experience in Issaquah WA held a charity event Yoga for the Philippines. This is a donation- based class taught by fabulous instructors of HYE who volunteered their time and energy. All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross, which will then benefit the victims of Typhoon Haiyan / Yolanda in the Philippines. I do have distant family members in the affected areas and I’m more than happy to participate in this event.
Earlier in the day, I brought my little girl to watch the Disney movie Frozen and indulged on movie food fare a little bit. I have to say I did feel GREAT after an hour of power yoga and half hour of Yin. Then coming home with a home filled with Christmas decors (hubby put up the tree, lights etc while I was in class) was enough to send the warmth and spirit of the Holidays in my soul.
I thank all the yogis, yoginis and HYE instructors for taking part in this event. With that I’m sharing the photos that I’ve captured before the class started. Namaste
A baby girl… One of the most beautiful miracles in life, one of the greatest joys we can ever know, and one of the reasons why there is a little extra sunshine, laughter and happiness in your world today.
Thank you Marc and Rita for the opportunity to capture your little sunshine, Julia. It was worth doing the session in a stormy Snoqualmie dayEnjoy browsing through the photos.
